Paul & Joe shadows are sold as refills and the compacts are sold separately. The compact shown here is one from the brand's permanent range and costs $8 CAD. Made of plastic with raised detailing of chrysanthemum flowers, the compact has a magnetic bottom that allows you to swap in different refills (including blush/powder refills).

The #6 April in Paris Trio features a shimmery icy blue, a matte soft pink, and a taupe-y brown with gold sparkles. All three shades have a lovely, buttery formulation with great pigmentation. The blue shade looks much more blue in the pan but when swatched it looks like a cool icy white. The matte pink is soft and creamy, great as an all over base color and the brown works great as a crease shade.
The formulation is comparable to brands like Urban Decay and Lancome, both of which have amazing shadows. The shadow refill pan comes with a duo-ended sponge-tip applicator.

This is a great adorable trio with amazing formulation and pigmentation. I love the fact that you can customize it by pairing it with different compacts. Albeit a bit pricey, the quality of the shadows are really great!
