Packaging:
The Baiser Velours come in a matte gunmetal gloss tube with a shiny gunmetal lid. The product applies with a flexible. tapered doe-foot. The applicator is fairly precise and easy to work with so a lip brush is definitely optional.
Formulation:
These liquid lipsticks have a very creamy and lightweight texture. The pigmentation is phenomenal so a little goes a long way, I barely had to dip the applicator back into the tube to get extra product as one swipe was more than enough.
The matte liquid lipstick sets a bit after application but I find that it's better to blot it to leave a more transfer-proof finish. The color is long wearing but it will still smudge and fade with eating and drinking. Also I noticed that the formulation does get a bit dry over time. A thicker layer can be applied to prevent immediate dryness but it can also lead to a higher likelihood of smudging.

These are some really lovely matte lipsticks! Gorgeous, saturated color with a modern matte finish, the Basier Velours are definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of bold matte lips. The only downside with these is that they aren't completely kiss-proof and they do feel a bit dry after an hour or so of wear.
