Hey everyone! Happy Monday! Today I have a new Clarisonic system called the Sonic Radiance Brightening Solution Kit ($311 CAD) to introduce to you. Featuring the new Aria Cleansing Device, the kit includes a three-piece skincare collection designed to target dark spots and dull complexions. The kit promises improved skin texture, increased radiance, and diminished hyperpigmentation. So how well does it work? How is the Aria device compared to the Mia 2? Read on to find out......

For the past half a year, I have been using the Mia 2 device from Clarisonic. The main difference between Mia 2 and Aria (Mia 3) is the added speed option. Mia 2 has two speed options and Aria has 3 (the brush head can oscillate even faster). Additionally, Aria has the setting option to change the timer from one minute to two minutes. Both are useful if you found the Mia 2 too gentle and the one minute cycle too short.
The device is slightly larger than the Mia 2, but not by too much.

Specifically designed to be used with the Sonic Radiance Skincare collection, the Radiance Brush Head featurs slightly longer bristles that feels much more luxurious and soft. The brush promises to diminish the appearance of dark spots and unevenness. The brush is most similar to the Delicate Brush Head.
The Sonic Radiance Collection:
Skin Illuminating Cleanser (AM Cleanser):
This is a foaming cleansing milk that targets dark spots by slowing down melanin production. The cleanser feels very gentle on the skin and keeps it feeling hydrated after cleansing.
Skin Renewing Peel Wash (PM Cleanser):
Formulated with LHA, a compound that stimulates cell turnover, this foaming gel wash helps chemically exfoliate pigment clusters to create a more even complexion.
Brightening Activator Serum:
To be combined with both the AM and PM cleanser, this creamy serum enhances the brightening effects of the cleansers. I find this serum quite moisturizing as well, it can definitely work on its own without a moisturizer if you are a bit lazy like me.

I like the new Aria cleanser but I don't think it's really all that different from the Mia 2. The increased speed setting is nice if you prefer a deeper cleansing; however, I don't think the difference is noticeable enough.
The skincare products I really enjoy. The Skin Illuminating Cleanser (AM) in particular is quite nice. The milky foaming texture is feels super soft and creamy on the skin. I've been using this system for about a week and a half and I've noticed that skin is more radiant. I don't have an awful lot of hyperpigmentation so I don't know how big of a difference the system makes for those with dark spots/age spots.
Although the kit is quite expensive ($311), the value isn't actually too bad considering an Aria device alone is $230, making the three piece set $81.
