Well known for its best-selling Touch Éclat Radiant Touch brightening/highlighting pen, Yves Saint Laurent recently launched a rose gold version of the pen called Touche Éclat Or Rose ($72 CAD) as part of its Lumière Passion collection that showcases the radiance of rose gold. Unlike the original Touche Éclat shades, the rose gold version has a stronger pink undertone and incorporates delicate micro-particles of gold sparkle. Packaging:
The Touche Éclat Or Rose comes in the same classic pen form as the original Touche Éclats. However, the pen does have a rose gold finish as opposed to the original gold. To dispense the product, simply click on the bottom of the pen. The pen has a brush applicator that allows direct application onto the face. I find that I always still need my fingers to blend out the product so the brush tip only helps to dab the product on.

Touche Éclat has a lightweight and highly blendable liquid foundation-like texture. The product applies a light shade of pink and when blended out, it gives the skin a more refined and brightened look. Touche Éclat Or Rose is extra special in that it has tiny, tiny specks of gold flecks inside the formulation, so when the product is blended, the flecks sits on top of the skin. The flecks are subtle but definitely noticeable. I like the addition of shimmer but I think it limits the usage of the product. I personally would only apply this on my lids, brow bone, and the top of the cheeks because I don't like having sparkles on the rest of my face.
The flecks of gold are somewhat visible in this blended swatch. |

I love the original Touche Éclat and I really enjoy this rose gold version as well. In terms of pigmentation and shade, this one isn't really that different from the original ones because when blended out they all brighten and highlight. The biggest difference with this is the addition of the gold specks. They make the product feel more luxurious and look very pretty when applied on the lids of the eyes but I think they makes the product less versatile as I don't think many people want sparkles on the rest of their faces.
