Happy Friday everyone, today I have an absolutely amazing Memebox to share with y'all. I've been complaining quite a bit how there tends to be a heavy emphasis on body and skin care products in the previous Memeboxes I've reviewed but this Memebox Global Edition #14 has a great mix of makeup and skincare products! Check out what's inside, click.......
Full Size: Shower Mate Perfume de Whip Body Wash (50ml, $4 each)
These are two scented shower gels. The packaging is super cute and the scent claims to last long enough that you don't need to wear an additional perfume. I have about five shower gels in the shower stall right now so I will hold off on trying these. The small size makes these very travel-friendly so I'll probably bring one along on my next mini vacation.
This set has four individual masks:
Love Recipe Apple Mask: This is a traditional sheet mask. I thought it would smell like apples but it didn't at all, just a very subtle floral scent. It made my skin feel nice and hydrated.
Delight Ceramide Hydrogel Mask/Collagen Hydrogel Mask/Panthenol Hydrogel Mask: These are special sheet masks made of a thin gelatin-like sheet infused with a herbal mask solution. Each comes with two patches, one for the upper half of the face and one for the lower half. It feels amazing on the skin, a bit tingly and super hydrating.
Full Size: Beauty People Miss 100 Super Waterproof Gel Liner Auto Pencil ($38)
This is a gorgeous gold gel eyeliner with a formulation that promises to super smudgeproof and waterproof. I have a friend who I know would love this so I'll be passing this one along to her!
Also the packaging is so unique, there is a stylized drawing of Snow White on the cap of pencil.
Full Size: VOV Good-Bye Black Smudge Waterproof Mascara ($16)
This is a super tough waterproof mascara designed for those that want their mascaras to last and last. I am a huge fan of waterproof mascaras so I have a good feeling about this one. I'll definitely do a full review on it when my current Fairy Drops mascara gives out.
Full Size: Kocostar 4 Package Set ($20)
This is the ultimate mask set and by mask I don't just mean face masks!
Foot Peeling Pack: This is an innovative chemical peel mask designed just for the feet. The product comes in two plastic socks that you put around your feet for one hour and a half. After which your feet feels super soft. I tried it last night, it felt strong but pleasant. I took it off after an hour because it was just too tingly for me to handle. The instructions say that my feet will peel further in a few days to reveal baby soft feet. Not sure how that will go but I guess I'll have to wait and see.
*Update: After a couple of days, my feed did start peeling and not in a pretty way. I am not sure I want to ever use a peeling pack like these again because my feet just looks bad with the small bits of skin coming off of it and I honestly don't think my feet feels that much softer.*
Finger Nail Pack: These are tiny finger gloves (similar to those rubber ones you put over a bandaged finger, except these are made of a fabric/plastic material) filled with nutrient rich solution that nourishes and hydrates your nails and cuticles. I've used nail masks like these and I quite like them because the outside of the gloves aren't sticky so I can still go about my business.
Ggongji Hair Pack: This is basically a shower cap, or a hair bag that you tie around your ponytail. It's filled with a rich conditioner that makes the hair super nice and smooth.
Face Spot Mirror Patch: Now this is probably the most interesting out of the four. These spot patches are basically clear plastic adhesives that supposedly treat blemishes. I tried them out for a night and to be honest, I didn't really notice a difference but I'll give it another go. The idea I have to admit is super intriguing!
Sample Size: Sua Young Mineral Essence In Liquid Foundation SPF 33 ($34 for Full Size)
This is actually the first time I got a foundation in a Memebox. Don't get me wrong, I love BB and CC Creams but I think I already have three BB Creams from previous boxes so it's nice to get a foundation sample for a change. This one from Sua Young is a light-weight liquid foundation that covers blemishes and stays put.
Here is another product that made me immediately go "oooh". Packaged in an impossibly adorable glass vial (doesn't it kind of look like a perfume bottle?), this essence is infused with vitamin capsules that balances the skin's moisture and oil level. It promises to brighten, moisturize and nourish the skin. I tried it out last night and I was a bit taken aback by the thicker formulation. I am used to essences being a slightly heavier than toners but this had a viscous oily texture. It feels nice on the skin but for those with oily skin, a light application is probably more ideal.
Full Size: A;T Fox Fantasy Holic Lip & Cheek Design Pencil ($7)
This is an adorable pocket-sized matte lip and cheek crayon. If you thought the lip/cheek crayon trend has hit its peak, think again because these guys seem more popular than ever. Virtually every brand has some sort of "crayon" product nowadays. I'll be tucking this one away for a gift bag for another time, I have way too many of these lying around as is.
Overall:
I'm not even going to hesitate when I say that this is by far the best Memebox I've tried. I love the mix of makeup and skincare products. I've never been too big on masks but man all the masks in this box were amazing! The mascara I can't wait to try and the essence seems very promising as well. The total value of this box was approximately $150 (the box costs approximately $30 including shipping). It's not the best value I've seen but in terms of variety and quality, this one is a winner!
