A wicked manicure helps complete any Halloween Costume and this year imPRESS Press-On Manicure ($8 CAD each) released a collection of Halloween-themed designs to help your finger tips shine on Halloween night. Each imPress kit comes with 24 nails in 11 sizes and these Halloween designs are medium-lengthed so they will fit most nails. To see how they look on the nails, click.......
There are a total of six designs for Halloween and I have here four of them, the names for some of these are kind of weird and don't really match the designs, not quite sure what that's about......
Hollywood Satin: This is a red/black gradient design with iridescent glitters at the tip. Perfect for a vampire costume!
Treasure Island: This design is a potpourri of all things Halloween. There is a cute spider design, a ghost design, a candy corn design, and a couple of black/orange polka-dot french tip design. I think if you aren't dressing up this year but still want to be a little festive, try this one.
Sweat Pea: Yea these names seem kind of mis-matched... This one is a candy corn tipped mani and each nail has either a jack-o-lantern or a ghost. This, like the last one, is perfect for those who want to get in the Halloween spirit but don't necessarily want to go all out and dress up.
Pucker Up: This one is a non-traditional french tip design. There are some cobwebs and silver glittery spiders. I think if you are doing a witch costume, these would work really well.
My favorite of the four is definitely Treasure Island because you get a little bit of everything. Here I am wearing all the different designs from the kit.

All imPress Press-On nails come with peel-off, press-on adhesives on the back of the nails so no nail glue is needed! In terms of application, these are easy peasy, no issues whatsoever and I am very glad that the medium length of these designs fit my nail length quite well (the short length designs are always too short).
In terms of width I still find these too flat and wide but thank goodness there are 11 different sizes so in the end I was able to find ones that fit, more or less.
These claim to last up to a week but for me personally I wouldn't really wear them more than a couple of days because although they aren't uncomfortable, I still am very aware of the fact that I am wearing something hard and plastic on my nails. Also the gap between the nail and the press-ons tend to catch onto hair and other materials so these to me are just temporary fun decorations for the nails.
*It's also worth noting that these nails have a little unsightly notch at the top of the nails. But you can easily clip them off with a cuticle clipper and you won't even know they were ever there!
The fit isn't perfect as you can see (the pink especially), but for temporary wear these work just fine! |
I love the fun Halloween designs and the easy application. The fit isn't perfect but these are great for a night out or special events.
