Happy Hump Day y'all! Today I want to do a roundup post for Shu Uemura's new Brave Beauty Collection along with some swatches and review of a few of the other things in the collection: the Lasting Gel Pencil Eye Liner, False Lashes, and Face Studs. I also tried to unleash my inner artist and created a semi-dramatic look incorporating almost all the pieces from the collection. So to check out some swatches and my Brave Beauty look, click......
Lasting Gel Eye Liner ($36 CAD):Available in three shades (green, violet, and maroon), the Lasting Gel liners are twist-up (unfortunately not retractable) smudge-proof, water and tear proof eyeliners with a gel-smooth formulation. I have swatched violet and green below. The liners are very pigmented but unfortunately they are not soft and creamy like the name suggests. I experienced quite a bit of tugging but the formulation is long-lasting.

These are hands down the most wicked false lashes that I own. The lash incorporates long, doll-like lashes and soft, fluttery feathers. The lash band is also bejeweled with two rolls of shiny silver sequins. I tried these on my eyes but they are quite big and heavy, so I think they are more suitable for daring beauties with bigger eyes.
Brave Beauty Face Studs ($35 CAD):
Now these are cool! These specially designed face studs come in two colors and two different shapes. They each have a small rubbery padding on its backside and can be adhered to the face with lash glue. These remind me of my pairs of punk rocker esque stud earrings, so edgy and badass! Both the face studs and the lashes come in clear plastic reusable storage cases.
And here is the look I created using the brave beauty line, I tried to add the lashes but they were just too overpowering and takes away too much from the eye makeup.
Products used:Base: Shu Uemura Face Architect Smooth Fit Foundation in "564 Medium Light Sand (reviewed here but I believe this foundation is discontinued)
Brow: Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in "Ebony" (reviewed here)

Collection Roundup:
Of all the things from the collection, the Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks and the Eye Palettes are definitely my favorite. In terms of formulation and quality the Satin Radiant Sticks are definitely up there as well but the Lasting Gel Pencil Liner fell a little short for me. The packaging of everything in the collection is phenomenal, I really like the artsy feel the brush stroke patterns give to the collection.
