Good morning everybody and Happy Monday! Here comes yet another week! Today I have a slightly different, non-beauty/nail post to share y'all and it's about tampons! o.b. is launching a new #GiveUsOnePeriod campaign that challenges those of us that already use tampons and those that have never tried tampons to give o.b. tampons a try. I've always used tampons, not all the time during my periods but when I do strenuous exercises or go swimming but I've never tried o.b. tampons before. So, to find out my first o.b. experience and how you can get your hands on a FREE box, click........
What sets o.b. apart from other tampon brands?
-discrete, small design
-no applicator waste
-SilkTouch smooth cover for easy insertion
Packaging:
The o.b. Pro Comfort tampons are about the size of small pinky finger. I placed it next to a Tampax Regular tampon (still inside the packaging) for comparison. This is definitely the smallest tampon I've ever tried. The tampon doesn't have an inserter, it only comes with a plastic covering that rips off easily. For insertion, the instruction says to widen the base of the tampon with your index finger so you can use that as a little pocket handle during insertion.
My Experience:
I really like the smaller size of the o.b tampons and I think for first time users, they are much less intimidating. However, I am not fan of the no-applicator design because I feel the need to really cleanse my hands and fingers before application. Also because there is no applicator, you definitely need to reach higher up there if you know what I mean, to get the tampon comfortably lodged. Again, that's something I rather not do but I think that's the price you have to pay with no applicator waste. The tampon expands after insertion and it gave great protection, no leaking whatsoever.
o.b. is generously offering to givea way one pack of o.b. Pro Comfort ($4.99 CAD) tampons to 20 The Happy Sloths readers. Interested in giving them a try, just enter via the Rafflecopter below (open to Canada only):
