For Fall 2014, Make Up For Ever is expanding its Artist Series by adding a line of super pigmented and super long-lasting twist up eye liners. The Artist Liners ($23 CAD) feature an ultra-slim design that allows precise application and requires no sharpening. To see my review and swatches of the shade "I-16", click.......
Packaging:
The Artist Liner comes in a thin retractable plastic black pencil. Initially the tip of the lead is very pointed but it wears down very quickly as the liner is quite soft so after a few uses the liner can't really be used to draw thin lines.
Formulation:
"I-16" is a very pretty shimmery dark taupe. This particular color is very pigmented and smooth. The formulation is almost gel-like as the liner simply glides over the lids. I found that the color set very quickly which means I really don't get any time to blend it out nicely for a smoky effect. The wear for this was spectacular, only after seven or eight hours did I notice some creasing, it was virtually smudge-proof.
Overall:
I've been reading lots of other blogger's review of the new Artist Liners and it seems that there is definitely some discrepancy in the formulation but this particular shade (I-16) is amazingly pigmented and long wearing!
Availability:
The Make Up For Ever Artist Liner is available online and in stores at Sephora.
