Lately, I have been hearing a lot of buzz from the beauty community about NEST Fragrances so I was delighted to have the opportunity to try out one of its best-selling scents, the Midnight Fleur Eau de Parfum ($30 CAD for 8.5 ml or $78 CAD for 50 ml). Bottle Design:
The rollerball version of the scent comes in a matte black glass bottle. There is a sticker label printed with the artwork of the 18th-century artist Mary Delany. The rollerball applicator actually dispenses quite a lot of product so do be cautious when rubbing it against the skin. The cap is embossed with the initials "SL" for Laura Slatkin, NEST's founder. The overall vibe of the design feels very charming and old-fashioned and the full-sized bottle has a similar look.

The Scent:
Midnight Fleur is described as a woody floral. Interestingly, despite the fact that there are no fruity notes, the first thing I pick up when I sniff this scent is a sweet but slightly acidic blend of berries. The jasmine, patchouli, and vanilla orchid soon follow and the woodiness creates a warm, almost creamy backdrop. This scent is quite strong and unique. To me, it's very sweet and sensuous and it's one that can be worn any time in the year.

Base Notes: Patchouli, Black Amber
If you are looking for something light and refreshing, then Midnight Fleur is not for you. But if you want a rich, creamy, and complex woody floral, then definitely give this one a sniff!
