For July 2014, Sally Hansen released a line of eight pastel Xtreme Wear nail polishes in a collection called the Sea Bloom Collection. I played around with a few colors from the collection and created a look that I call the the "Pastel Waves Nails". To see which colors I used and a close-up of the design, click......
For the look, I used four colors from the collection:
"Pearl Up": This one is a very sheer milky white polish. I used it as a base to help the other colors show up better.
"Teeny Bikini": This one is a soft yellow, the formulation is quite sheer as well.
"Peach Babe": Despite being called peach, this one is actually a lovely baby pink. The pigmentation of slightly better than the previous two.
"Kelp Yourself": This one is a soft seafoam green. The pigmentation of this is actually not too bad and the formulation is rather fast-drying.
For the look I simply painted random patches of colors over "Pearl Up" to get a watercolor effect going. After the colors are semi-dry, I stamped on a wavy design from MoYou London's Fairy Tale stamping plate. The top coat I was using was super finicky, it not only bubbled but also smudged parts of the black stamping. The overall result still looks pretty cool, though, especially from afar.
So there you have it, a fun mani using Sally Hansen's new Sea Bloom collection, which should just be popping up in stores now! The collection is limited edition so make sure to pick some up if you a big fan of pastels! Thanks for reading!
