Mika For Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil: Review

Disclaimer: Products featured were provided for review.
Shu Uemura has once again released another highly coveted, limited edition collection, this time collaborating with the renowned Japanese photographer Mika Ninagawa. Known for her colorful and vibrant photography, Mika designed the packaging for the Mika for Shu Collection which includes a range of eyeshadows, nail stickers, lip colors, and cleansing oils. Today I want to show you the amazing packaging of the cleansing oils from the collection and review for you the Porefinest Anti-Shine Fresh Cleansing Oil, to read more, click......
Packaging:
Each of the four limited edition cleansing oils in the Mika for Shu Collection has its own special theme. The designs are not directly printed on the bottle but are printed on a plastic label tightly wrapped around each bottle
Porefinest Anti-Shine Fresh Cleansing Oil:
What it is:
-Lightweight cleansing oil that dissolves and washes away makeup, extra sebum, and blackheads
-Deeply cleanses the pores without leaving the skin feeling dry or greasy
-Formulated with cinnamon bark extract that regulates sebum secretion
-Keeps skin less oily and decreases the appearance of pores

Suitable for: Normal to oily, acne-prone skin

To use:
1. Take 3 to 4 pumps of cleansing oil (use dry hands and yes, you do need that much).
2. Gently smooth over dry face, the instruction says to rinse immediately when oil gets into the eyes but the oil doesn't sting the eyes at all, hence it is so good at removing eye makeup.
3. Dampen your fingers slightly and massage over your face again, emulsifying the cleansing oil (this step is super important, it helps completely remove the oil so you won't have a "greasy" feeling after cleansing).
4. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Formulation & Result:
In the past I've used Shu Uemura's High Performance Balancing Oil Advanced Formula (yellow bottle) and that was the best cleansing oil I had ever tried (compared to the ones from Sephora and The Body Shop). The oil removed dirt, waterproof makeup, and sebum like no other cleanser could and it left the skin feeling soft and hydrated. Therefore, I was super excited to give the Anti-Shine version a try. I found the formulation of this oil to be lighter and runnier; hence, it's a bit tricky to keep it from dripping out of my hand before being able to apply it onto my face. Other than that, though, the product melted away waterproof eye makeup like it's nobody's business and I actually did notice a decrease in sebum secretion, albeit only by a small amount. My skin felt nice and soft after cleansing and there was absolutely no dryness or tightness.

Overall:
Each of these bottles, though pricey, has a whopping 450ml of product and can last you up to a year. I will definitely be going through each and every one of these and update with reviews. But so far, I am very much in love with the Porefinist Cleansing Oil, I think it actually has been helping control my sebum production, which is hitting an all-time high during these few weeks.
