Happy Monday Everyone, today I want to review for y'all my new favorite red lip color. I know since it's summer, everyone is gravitating towards hot pinks and bright oranges, but for me a deep red is always a classic any time of the year so without further ado, I present to you the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in "Fiery" ($29 CAD), to see some swatches and my review, click......What it is:
-Extremely pigmented liquid lipstick that lasts all day
-Applies wet and dries to a transfer-proof matte finish
-Weightless formulation enriched with vitamin E and avocado oil
Packaging:
The liquid lipstick comes in a simple clear plastic tube with a black cap. The applicator is a standard doe-foot applicator. Because this product is so incredibly pigmented, you will most certainly need to apply it with a lip brush to achieve clean lines.
Fiery is a deep matte red. This is honestly the perfect red that I have been looking for for the longest time. It's not a true red that I find hard to pull off but it's also not too dark that it becomes too vampy.
Formulation:
The liquid lipstick has a thin but smooth consistency. It applies evenly on the lips and quickly sets to a transfer-proof matte finish. You can go over it with more product and there won't be any patching or creasing. When worn on bare lips this product will seriously last all day, although it will fade if you do a lot of eating (greasy food especially) and drinking.
The only downside, as you probably can guess, is that the product is not very moisturizing. Because the lipstick is so packed with pigments, it really clings to the lips and will make them feel dry after three or four hours of wear. So depending on how hydrated you are, you may find this to be quite drying.
A beautifully pigmented deep red with a gorgeous creamy formulation that dries to a matte finish, "Fiery" requires patience and practice to apply perfectly but it truly is the most beautiful red I have ever seen. As beautiful as it is, I don't recommend this product to those with dry lips, but for all the rest of you looking for a long lasting, transfer-proof red lipstick, this is the one!
