Today I have the shade "240 Tower of Mauve" to swatch and review for y'all, to read more, click.....
Packaging:
The new Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks come in a shiny silver casing with a plastic transparent cap in the classic Rimmel purple color.
Formulation & Pigmentation:
As you can probably tell from the swatch, the formulation of this lipstick is a-ma-zing! "Tower of Mauve" is a brownish rosy mauve; the pigmentation is super rich and intense. The formulation has a very creamy but lightweight feel on the lips. These actually really remind me of the Lancôme Rouge in Love lipsticks and the Anna Sui lipsticks, and that's quite impressive considering the price point of these are way lower than those.
The lipstick feels super comfortable and moisturizing and there is a natural sheen to the finish. The wear is ok as the color doesn't cling to the lips but I believe the brighter shade will probably last longer. Also it's worth noting that the lipstick has a mild "old school" lipstick scent that some may not like.
I am honestly blown away by the quality of this lipstick. The formulation is on par with the $30 department store brands and the color of "Tower of Mauve" is so elegant and pretty!
Availability: I am not sure of the exact release date but people have been seeing these in stores already so keep an eye out, they are definitely worth checking out!
