Eye Trio Mini Palette ($9.95):
What it is:
A beautiful mini eyeshadow compact featuring a trio of shadows with a silky and fine texture infused with rice extract.
Packaging:
The shadows comes in a square plastic yellow compact with a clear lid printed with a Mediterranean themed design. I am not a big fan of the packaging, the quality feels a little flimsy.
Color & Formulation:
All there colors were surprisingly pigmented and creamy. The formulation is comparable to Urban Decay or Too Faced shadows!
Smokey Blue: This one is a rich deep blue with a slight metallic finish.
Bronze: Beautiful metallic coppery brown.
Golden Beige: Shimmery light golden brown.
Compact Bronzing Powder ($9.95):What it is:
A bronzer palette with three shades of earthy tones that gives a sun-kissed glow.
Packaging:
The bronzer comes in a circular compact. Again, the packaging isn't the greatest.
Formulation:
With all three shades blended, the bronzer gives a fairly natural light tan with a subtle shimmer. The formulation is a bit hard but the pigmentation is buildable.
Lip Glosses ($4.95):
What it is:
A non-sticky lip gloss with a smooth and lightweight formulation.
Packaging:
The lip glosses come in standard gloss tubes. However, as you may notice from the photo below. The design of the tubes aren't actually printed on. They are actually on a layer of plastic that wraps around the tube.
Pigmentation & Formulation:
All three glosses have an exceptionally smooth and comfortable formulation with zero tackiness.
Golden Beige: This one is a sheer gloss with golden shimmer and flecks of micro-glitter.
Bright Pink: This one is a super pigmented dark pink, such a bold and gorgeous color!
Copper Sun: This one is another sheer gloss but instead of gold shimmers it has warm coppery shimmers.
Here is a lip swatch of Bright Pink blended with a bit of Golden Beige.
What it is:
Eyeshadow pencils with a long-lasting, soft and comfortable formulation. The pencils are easy to remove and can be used as liner or shadow.
Packaging: The pencils are traditional chubby shadows pencils with a clear lid to protect the tip. They are not retractable and thus requires sharpening.
Formulation:
Royal Blue: This one is a matte blue. The formulation is a bit sheer and I couldn't really get the color to build.
Lemon Yellow: This one is a bright matte yellow. The pigmentation is surprisingly rich!
Mediterranean Blue: This one is a beautiful intense bluish teal. The formulation was super rich and smooth.
Copper Brown: This one is a matte copper with a super intense pigmentation. Again, the formulation is super creamy and smooth.
The staying power of these colors were quite impressive. I tried Copper Brown and Mediterranean Blue and they were smudge free and crease-proof!
Glitter Mascara ($4.95):
What it is:
A lash topper that adds a beautiful golden glimmer to the eyes.
Formulation:
This mascara has a fairly sheer formulation and when used on its own, you really can't see the effect at all. But when applied over a normal black mascara, it adds a very subtle glittery effect.
Nail Polish ($2.95):
Royal Blue: This one is a deep blue creme. The formulation was rather sheer for a color this dark. I had to use two and a half coats to obtain full opacity.
Lemon Yellow: This one is a beautiful soft yellow. The formulation is surprisingly lovely. I used two coats to achieve full opacity.
Copper Brown: This one is a super pigmented copper metallic. The formulation was simply incredible, one thin coat for full opacity!
Bright Pink: This one is a hot hot pink with a very subtle shimmer. The formulation is decent; I used two coats.
Gold: A beautiful pale champagne metallic, this color is quite rich and only two coats were needed to obtain full opacity.
Crackle Nail Polish in "Mediterranean Blue" ($2.95):
This is a super wicked teal crackle polish. Can you believe this is the first time I have tried a crackle polish? This stuff is so cool! I noticed that a thinner coat gives a more shattered effect and a thicker coat yields only a few giant cracks.
Collection Été Eau de Toilette ($29 for 75ml):
This fragrance is a lovely summer citrus infused with bergamot, lemon, and mandarin as top notes. The middle notes include citrus flower and the base notes feature a blend of woody scents.
This is quite a refreshing summer fragrance, it reminds me a bit of Daisy Delight from Marc Jacobs (reviewed here).
Shower Gel ($3.95 for 200ml):
A lovely citrus scented shower gel that provides a rich lather in the shower, leaving the skin feeling refreshed and clean.
Overall:
This was such a lovely and affordable collection. Though I am not a big fan of majority of the packaging design, the formulation and quality of some of the pieces are really impressive. The eyeshadow trio, the glosses, a few of the shadow pencils and polishes are very amazing and worth checking out. The fragrance really nice as well; it's an affordable scent that easily dupes a lot of the high-end citrus-y summer scents on the market.
