As the warm weather fast approaches, it's time to get that radiant glow going and what better way to do that than with a beautiful powder bronzer. For summer 2014, Lancôme released a new collection called the Golden Riviera and it features a beautiful bronzer (trust me, you are going to want to see what this looks like) and a complementary bronzer brush.

Star Bronzing Powder ($52 CAD):
What it is:
A fine and light bronzer that gives a sheer and radiant glow to the complexion.
Packaging & Design:
I'll just start by saying wow! When I first opened the compact I actually let out an audible sigh. This bronzer is so beautiful. It comes in a shiny and luxurious round brown compact. The bronzer is quite large (30g) and has a big mirror on the underside of the lid.
The design of the bronzer is the iconic Lancôme rose and logo. The golden ombré of the rose is sprayed on and unfortunately comes off with a light sweep.
Here is a close-up of the design because it deserves one.
Formulation:
A lot of bronzers are all looks and no substance, usually having a chalky and hard texture but Lancôme Star Bronzer does not disappoint. The powder is finely milled, super creamy, and soft. It has the same texture as a Lancôme blush, the feel is so buttery it could almost pass for a cream product.
The color of bronzer is a satin bronze. This shade isn't glittery or shimmery and the pigmentation is phenomenal!
Star Bronzing Brush ($58 CAD):
What it is:
A bevel-cut synthetic bristled brush that allows a diffused application of powder all over the face and neck to give a natural finish.
Design:
This is a rather large bronzer brush with a short, round handle. The bristles are quite long and supple and they feel very soft. For me personally, $58 is a lot to pay for a brush but I can certainly see why this one is worth that much. The brush applies the bronzer very naturally, it gives an almost airbrushed effect where just the right amount of powder goes on the skin.

You can really see from the picture just how soft the brush is, I wish I had an even bigger one I can use as a throw pillow!
Overall:
These are two amazing releases from Lancôme! For those bronzer aficionados, these are must haves and because they are limited edition, get them before they are gone!
