About a month ago, I started using to acne treatment products from Dermalogica Clear Start line and today I will be reviewing them for you. To find out how effective they are, click.......Cleansing Foaming Wash ($22 CAD):
What it is:
-A foaming facial cleanser that clears dead cells and excess oil
-Can also be used on the body to reduce breakouts
-Soothes irritated skin and unclogs pores
Key Ingredients:
-Salicylic acid
-Tea tree oil
-Lavender
-Camellia
Result:
The product comes in plastic white bottle with a fancy pop up lid. The face wash has a lovely herbal scent and it is very gentle. It leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean and I experienced minimal drying.
All Over Toner ($22 CAD):
What it is:
-A toner spray that minimizes redness and irritation caused by breakouts
-Clears and purifies the skin
-Controls excess oil and prevents breakouts
Key Ingredients:
-Salicylic acid
-Lavender
-Camellia
-Argan
Result:
The toner dispenses as a fine mist. The spray action is very convenient but I sometimes dispense the product straight from the bottle opening because I feel like the product works better when I apply it with a cotton pad. The toner is fairly mild despite containing salicylic acid; I experienced some dryness but it can be easily alleviated by using it only every other day.
Overall:
Although I only tried the first two steps of the Dermalogica Clear Start system, I am quite impressed with both products. They worked to prevent breakouts and improve complexion. I also really liked the fact that they didn't leave my skin feeling too dry.
