Hey everyone, today I have here a new mascara from Clinique called the Lash Power Feathering Mascara ($21 CAD) to share with y'all. The new Lash Power Feathering Mascara promises longer, defined lashes with no clumping or smudging! To see how well it works, click.....
What it is:
-A lengthening mascara that defines and separates the lashes using a polymeric stretching formulation
-Clump resistant and flake and smudge free
-Easily removed with warm water
Packing & Wand Design:
The mascara comes in a simple classic Clinique mascara tube. The soft bristle wand is quite thick and slightly tapers towards the ends. I wish the top was more pointed so I can reach my inner and outer corners better.

The formulation of the Lash Power Feathering Mascara is quite special. It has a almost mousse-like feel. With the brush design, the mascara does separate the lashes well. Although it doesn't clump the lashes together, the application isn't very smooth. I had trouble nicely coating individual lashes as the formula is quite tacky. It's hard to go in for a second coat because the first coat will pill up slightly and make the lashes look messy. Also the mascara wasn't very lengthening and it didn't hold my curls (do note that I have straight asian lashes that I curl with a lash curler).
Longevity:
Despite the flake-free claim, I had a tiny bit of flaking about three hours into the wear. Also this mascara removes in little pieces and I personally prefer the ones that dissolves with a makeup remover/water.
Overall:
I have to admit, I am quite a tough critic when it comes to mascaras. I am not blessed with long and luscious lashes so it's really hard to find a mascara that gives me what I want. Unfortunately though, Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara just wasn't for me. It provided some definition but not enough length or hold. Perhaps this one would work better for those with thick lashes looking for more definition.
Availability:
This mascara is now available online at Clinique and Sephora and in stores at Sephora and department stores where Clinique is sold.
