Rimmel London Lasting Finish & Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Products featured were provided for review.
Hi guys, today I have a couple of Rimmel Lasting and Rimmel Lasting Matte Lipsticks by Kate Moss ($7.99) to swatch and review for you, to check them out, click......

All the lipsticks have Kate Moss's signature printed on the tube.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in #09 & #14:
Formulated with black diamond powder complex, these lipsticks provide a high shine finish and smooth pigmentation.

Pigmentation and Formulation:
#09 is a stunning red with blue undertones and #14 is a very pale nude with cool undertones. In terms of pigmentation, both of these are very opaque and smooth. #09 applies beautifully; it is cushioning and makes the lips appear plumper and healthier. #14 on the other hand, accentuates fine lines and did crease a bit; also the color is really dull (even compared to other nudes), so I find it quite hard to work with. Though not unpleasant, both lipsticks have that old-school lipstick scent.

Longevity:
These two colors both transfer but #09 wore much better than #14 given its richer pigmentation. These lipsticks were fairly moisturizing and #09 leaves behind a nice stain after the color fades from eating and drinking.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss in #103 & #104:
Formulated with ruby powder, these lipsticks promise maximum color intensity and an ultra-comfortable matte wear.

Pigmentation and Formulation:
#103 is a lovely neutral rose and #104 is a dusty rose with subtle plum undertones. Both colors are super wearable, perfect for every day looks. The pigmentation of these two are quite good and the formulation is very rich and creamy. However, I did notice that the lipsticks are not very cushioning or moisturization. Thus, they will emphasize any dryness or patchiness. The lipsticks have a subtle watermelon scent, much like the Rimmel Apocolips. Also, the matte finishes are not what I would call true matte finishes (like the Revlon Mattes), but rather, they look more satin-y than matte.

Longevity:
These two colors do transfer but wore fairly well for around four hours before fading. After a few hours, they do make the lips look and feel dry so it is imperative to wear a good lip balm underneath.

Overall:
There is some variation between the matte and the non-mattes and I slightly prefer the non-matte ones because they are more cushioning and moisturizing on the lips. I recommend both #104 (plummy rose) and #09 (blue-tone red) as both colors are really stunning!

Availability:
Rimmel London products are available nation wide in all drugstores.
