Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had a pleasant weekend! Today I have two polishes from OPI's Sheer Tints Collection to share with you!
The Sheer Tints Color Tinted Top Coats features four new sheer polishes that can be worn alone or on top of other polishes for added dimensions.
To see some swatches and reviews of "I'm Never Amberrassed" and "Don't Violet Me Down" (oh OPI and their polish names), click......
I'm Never Amberrassed:Liquid amber morphs into a veneer of yellow tint that is anything but bashful.
Let me start off by saying that this is one heck of a strange color choice. A sheer warm yellow (reads yucky stained nail yellow) polish? Fortunately though, it didn't look as bad as I imaged. I mean, it's not a color I personally would wear, but it's not horrible.
I used three coats for the photos below, not because two coats weren't enough, but because I wanted the yellow to be more pigmented so it didn't seem like I have "unhealthy" nails.
The polish was quite thick but not difficult to work with, the drying time was longer than expected (given how sheer the color is) and I dearly wish that the color leaned just a bit more orange...... However, the finish was very shiny and jelly-like.

You can count on this crystal sheer amethyst.
Now this one I like! Honestly any color except for yellow is a good color choice for sheer jelly colors like these. Don't Violet Me Down is a mouthwatering grape purple. I used three coats for my swatches. The formulation is identical to I'm Never Ambarrassed, thick but not difficult to work with.
The drying time again was longer than average but the finish was very shiny. The squishiness of it reminds me of those old school jelly sandals people use to wear in the 80's and 90's.
