OPI Brazil Collection S/S 2014 Nail Polishes: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Products featured were provided for review.
Hello everyone, happy Thursday! Today I have swatches and reviews of three gorgeous shades from OPI's new Spring and Summer Brazil Collection. The collection was released earlier last month and features 12 shades of neutral and bright polishes (mostly creams) perfect for the upcoming warm and sunny weather. To read more, click.......

I Just Can't Cope-acabana:
"Nothing lifts your spirits like this sunshine yellow."
I personally love love love yellow polishes but rarely wear them because it's hard to find one with a good formula; they all tend to be very sheer and patchy. The formulation of Can't Cope-acabana is not perfect but it is substantially better than most yellow cream I have tried. For my swatches I used three coats to obtain opacity. The polish wasn't too patchy and in fact was pretty self-leveling.
Cope-acabana looks a lot paler in the bottle but when worn on the nails it comes off as a lovely daisy yellow.

AmazON...AmazOFF:
"I'm making the switch to this deep jungle green."
My favorite of the three, AmazON....AmazOFF not only has a hilarious name but it's also an uber gorgeous shade of dark teal. The formula, as you might expect, was AmazING (did that joke work there, haha). For my swatches I used two coats and the finish was opaque but also had a squishy jelly feel to it! The only thing I want to caution about this particular shade is that make sure to wear a good base coat because a color like this will leave a stain on your nails. I swatched this guy for no more than 15 minutes and it left a blue tinge on my nails. Though thankfully that was removed with an old toothbrush and some whitening toothpaste.

OPI Scores a Goal:
"Make your point in this winning shade of rich chocolate."
Last up, OPI Scores a Goal is a gorgeous rich brown with almost a plummy/red undertone. The formulation of this was also very wonderful, two coats for opacity and the polish is self leveling and smooth. This isn't a color I normally gravitate towards but it actually looks really nice when worn, very sophisticated and classy.

The drying time of all three polishes (even the three coater Cope-acabana) was very good and they all had a very good shine without the help of any top coat. My recommendation out of the three is definitely AmazON...AmazOFF, and if you are into yellows, Cope-acabana is definitely worth checking out!
Did you pick up any shades from the OPI Brazil line? Do you plan to? Let me know in the comments below!
