The Kaleidolight Palette is a versatile face and eye palette featuring five natural shades that can be swirled together or used separately to achieve a subtle glow.
Packaging:
The powders are housed in a simple but luxurious square gold compact with crosshatching on the lid and a large mirror on the inside. The compact measure about 9x9x1cm so it is perfect for beauty on the go.

There are a total of five different pastel, spring appropriate colors in the palette:
1&4. Light matte beige.
2. Lavender with very subtle shimmer, the shimmer is not noticeable when swatched
3. Soft matte brown.
5. Taupe-y brown with subtle shimmer.
6. Matte dusty mauve-y rose.
*Apologies for the weird numbering, I did not realize that 1 & 4 are the same color until after I swatched and photographed them.
Note: 1 & 4 are the same color. |
The majority of the colors in the palette are mattes. Even the ones with a subtle shimmer looked matte when swatched. All the colors are very soft and well pigmented despite how light they are, no primer was needed!
Longevity:
Even without a primer, the colors stayed very well on both the eyes and the cheeks with minimal fading, I was pleasantly surprised.

Wearing 1, 5, & 6 on lids and 5 & 6 on cheeks. |
Wearing 5 all over lid, with 6 on outer corner and 1 as inner and blending color. |
-Colors are perfect for spring
-Beautiful packaging
-Great pigmentation for matte shades
-Very versatile, works as eyeshadows, blush, and bronzer
Cons:
-The palette lacked a lighter highlighting shade, one of the two beige duplicates could very well have been a highlight color that could be used on the top of the cheeks or on the brow bone and inner corner.
Overall:
Despite being not very fond of matte colors, I was very in love with this palette. This is one of those products I know I will use quite a lot because how simple and versatile it is. I can simply dab on the darker colors on my lids using my fingers and then apply the warmer shades on the cheeks with a brush and I would be ready to go. The price is a bit high ($70) but I think you would definitely get what you pay for!
Availability:
The palette is available online at Aerin and in stores at Neiman Marcus and other selected department stores.
