Hi guys, today I am reviewing a trio of hair care products from Garnier that I have been testing for the past month. The Garnier Fructis Damage Repair Shampoo and Conditioner promise stronger and softer hair while the Garnier Fructis Fall Fight Strand Saver Anti-Breakage Spray promises to condition and reinforce hair and prevent breakage. To read more, click......I had my hair ombred earlier last year and the ends are very dry and almost all of them are severely damaged. I had them trimmed once but I didn't get rid of all the colored parts so the damage kind of stayed. As a result, my hair gets easily tangled and I can't really run my fingers through my hair without getting caught.
I usually wash my hair with Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and condition every few days. I apply argan hair oil after I get out of the shower while my hair is still damp. This routine works fairly well but it doesn't solve my split end problem.
Anyhow, that was a little back story on my hair routine, now moving on to the review. The shampoo is a decent shampoo that lathers well and leaves the hair feeling very clean. It has a light fruity scent and contains avocado oil. I am not wowed by this shampoo, but I have never really been wowed by any shampoo so I give it an ambivalent thumbs up.
The conditioner, on the other hand, is quite unique in that it is very thick, almost to the point that it gets a bit difficult to squeeze it out of the bottle! The conditioner has the same scent as the shampoo and it does leave the hair feeling very silky and soft.
However, the star of the trio is hands down the Garnier Fructis Fall Fight Strand Saver Anti-Breakage Spray, I used it after showering while my hair is still damp and this makes a very big difference! After just one use my hair felt so much smoother and I can actually run my fingers through them! I know, crazy! With that said, this product certainly will not "mend" split ends but it will give your hair temporary smoothness and softness. It doesn't drag the hair down nor does it make hair greasy, so I think it is a great treatment spray for a very affordable price.
Overall, the Fall Fight Strand Saver Spray is the only one of the three that I recommend, the shampoo and conditioner work well but they don't quite live up to their promises.
Have you tried any of these products before? Other than getting regular trims, what other things do you do to prevent/treat split ends? Let me know in the comments below! Thanks for reading!
