Pretty Bitch Polish Clear Top Coat and Milky Base Coat Set: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: The set were provided for review.
Hey guys, today I am reviewing the Pretty Bitch Polish Clear Top Coat and Milky Base Coat set ($10.00). Also called the "Cock and Ball" set (Pretty Bitch polishes are known for their scandalous names), the top and base coat dual promises to make your manicure last extra-long. Want to know how well they work? Click.......

Right: Milky Base Coat & Right: Clear Top Coat
The Milky Base Coat looks opaque in the bottle but when applied on the nails it looks almost clear. This base coat has a very nice consistency and really helps even out any ridges to allow a smooth application of the nail color. I have tried this base coat under a blue polish to see if it prevented staining and unfortunately it did not, the blue still seeped under the base color. Regardless, I still quite like this base coat as it provides a nice "canvas" for the nail color.

The Clear Top Coat is a very thin, slightly runny top coat. What I like about this top coat is that because the formula is quite thin, it doesn't bubble or peel, which is a problem I experience a lot with the thicker formula of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. However, because it is so thin, this topcoat does not work very well over glitter polishes or any sort of nail art as the polish really sinks and clings to the surface and will highlight any unevenness or texture. Also, this is definitely not a polish to be used over stamping for the same reasons. I think this is a top coat that works best over solid nail colors and it does prevent chipping as long as you seal the edges of your nails.

There you have it, the Pretty Bitch Polish Clear Top Coat and Milky Base Coat. What top coat or base coat do you use? Let me know in the comments below! And as always, thanks for reading!
