About a month ago, I saw Manicured Amateur do a nice blue green yellow gradient look that I really liked, so I decided it to try it on myself. When I finished I went back to her post again and only then did I notice that she used a flakie topcoat too! Man I feel like such a copycat! But hey, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery right? Right?
Anyhow, to see what I used, click......
I started with a two coats of "Daisy" from Julep. Then on a damp sponge, I painted a streak of yellow ("Daisy" from Julep), a streak of green (Leah from Julep) and a streak of blue (Annie from Julep). I then lightly dabbed the sponge on a piece of scrap paper a few times to remove the excess polish and then went in on my nails. I sponged the colors on a few times until I got the intensity I wanted. I then added a coat of "Shine of the Times" from Essie and finally finished with a topcoat.
I really like how this turned out, it's so fun and summery, I feel like this is a look that can also work with an orange pink purple combo as well!
Thanks for popping by, come back soon for more fun nail posts!
