Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheeks Cherry Macaron Blush: Review and Swatch

I have mentioned before that I am a complete novice when it comes to the ins and outs of Asian cosmetics, but I don't think it takes a super fanatic to appreciate how freakishly cute this little blush from Majolica Majorca is! For more pictures and a full review, click......

This little nugget of cuteness was gifted to me by a dear friend last year and to date it probably remains the cutest item in my makeup collection. So basically the Puff de Cheeks Macaron Blush in Cherry (RD414) from Majolica Majorca is a pressed powder blush housed in a metal tin somewhat resembling the ever so popular french macaron. The lid simply lifts off with a bit of force and inside there is the cutest little puff you can use to apply the blush.
The shade my friend chose for me is called "Cherry" or "RD414", I would describe it as girly pink with golden micro shimmer that doesn't really transfer onto the skin. Now in my opinion, this product should not be applied with the puff it comes with because you would most likely end up looking like a circus clown. Instead I use my normal trusty blush brush from Ecotools.
Now moving onto the texture and formula of this blush. Despite the cuteness of the packaging, the actually quality of the blush is just ok. The powder is very hard and chalky and applies a bit splotchy. This by no means is a bad blush, but with the incredible number of good blushes out there, it just isn't really worth the investment.
But with that said.... it is super CUTE.... I know, I think I have overused that word today haha.
