Julep Maven Boho Glam Intro Box: Review and Swatches

Julep has an interesting monthly subscription box, it is $19.99 a month and you get a variety of polishes and/or mani pedi care items. You can become a Maven by taking the quiz and in addition to the box you also get 20% off all regular merchandise and free shipping. Each month you get to see the selections ahead of time and choose which style you want or if you just wish to skip the month and not receive a box. I chose the Boho Glam box which included two polishes and cuticle oil.

After getting my box I immediately painted my nails with the two colors I received. My favorite out of the two ended up being Petra. When I applied the first coat to my nails I was a bit meh about the color, but as soon as I put a second coat I was in love. The purple is a nice hue and the glitter isn't overwhelming, it adds a nice shimmer.

 Lisa is a nice solid grey color, however, I would not wear this color alone on my hands. Hence the accent nail. I find it a bit too drab to wear alone but would work well as a base to add color or an interesting top coat to.

 Finally the hand care item in the box was the Julep Essential Cuticle Oil. This stuff smells great, that is only if you like the smell of eucalyptus, which is very powerful here. I have only used it a few times so I don't know how much of a difference it makes to my cuticles but it does feel nice. 
 Note, make sure you don't have any cuts where you apply, it stings, a lot.
